Swap the coffee with matcha for a spicy, sweet and pumpkin flavoured green tea latte. Made with real pumpkin, this pumpkin spice matcha recipe is a fun, tasty twist on a popular fall latte!
In a mug, add 1-2 tablespoons of pumpkin spice syrup. You can add more or less depending on the level of sweetness desired.
In a separate bowl or mug, sift matcha to remove any clumps. Add hot water and whisk.
Add the whisked matcha to the mug with the pumpkin spice syrup. Stir to combine.
Heat and froth milk of choice. You can do so with a handheld frother or an electric frother. The milk should almost double in volume when the frothing process is complete.
Pour the frothed milk in the mug with the pumpkin spice matcha. Dust the top of the latte with ground cinnamon, if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
For an Iced Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte: Add 1-2 tablespoons of the pumpkin spice syrup to a glass. Fill the glass with ice, pour whisked matcha and then milk. Stir to combine. Top with whipped cream and cinnamon, if desired. Get the recipe for the homemade pumpkin spice syrup here.
