Dark, roasted green tea powder mingles with real pumpkin and warm fall spices for a low caffeine pumpkin spice latte! Try it as a hot latte or iced latte.
In a mug, add 1-2 tablespoons of pumpkin spice syrup. If you would like more pumpkin flavour and sweetness you can add more syrup.
In a separate bowl, sift hojicha powder. This will remove any clumps, making it easier to achieve a smooth taste. Add hot water to the bowl and whisk. You can whisk hojicha powder with a bamboo whisk or handheld frother. If you do not have any of these items you can also use a standard kitchen whisk.
Pour the whisked hojicha tea in the mug with the pumpkin spice syrup. Stir to combine.
Heat and froth milk of choice until it has doubled in volume.
Pour the frothed milk in the mug with the pumpkin spice hojicha until full.
If desired, sprinkle cinnamon on top of the latte before serving or enjoying!
Notes
For an Iced Pumpkin Spice Hojicha Latte: Add 1-2 tablespoons of the pumpkin spice syrup to a glass. Fill the glass with ice, pour whisked hojicha and milk. Stir to combine. Top with whipped cream and ground spices, if desired.*This recipe uses homemade pumpkin spice syrup. Get the recipe here.
