Steep peppermint tea in hot water for 5 minutes, covered.
While the tea is steeping, sift matcha in a bowl. Set aside.
Heat and froth milk until it has doubled in volume. You can do this on the stovetop with a handheld frother or use an electric milk frother instead.
When the tea is done steeping, remove the tea leaves/tea bags and add it to the bowl with the sifted matcha. Using a bamboo whisk or a handheld frother whisk together then pour in a mug.
Stir sugar until dissolved, top mug with frothed milk and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies (optional). Enjoy!
