Instructions
For the Matcha Ice Cubes
In a mason jar, scoop in your matcha green tea and add in cool water.
Seal with a lid and shake rigorously to get rid of clumps as much as possible while mixing it in well.
Pour the cool matcha green tea mixture into an ice cube tray.
Place in the freezer until solid. Once frozen, get ready to make a slushie!
For the Slushie
Place the matcha ice cubes, cold water and your sweetener in a high-powered blender (or a blender strong enough to crush ice), cover and blend until you reach a slush consistency. If you prefer a thinner slushie, add more cold water. Be careful not to over blend as it will end up too runny. If this happens, add in more matcha ice cubes.
Pour in a glass and serve immediately (or else it will lose the slushie-like consistency!).
Store any leftovers in the freezer.
