Maple Matcha Latte

This maple matcha latte recipe uses real maple syrup to naturally sweeten the Japanese green tea and give it a distinctive rich flavour. Topped with warm, frothed milk, this is one of my favourite ways to enjoy matcha!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon matcha
  • ½ cup hot water under boiling
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup 100% pure
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions
 

  • In a mug or bowl, sift matcha with a fine mesh sieve to remove any clumps. Add hot water and whisk together with a bamboo whisk or an electric whisk until the matcha is smooth and frothy.
  • Add whisked matcha and pure maple syrup to a serving mug and stir to combine. You can add more or less maple syrup, depending on your preference.
  • Heat and froth milk of your choice. Add the milk froth to the mug of maple matcha. Drizzle additional maple syrup on top (optional) and enjoy!

Notes

To Make an Iced Maple Matcha Latte: Simply pour matcha and maple syrup in a glass filled with ice and top with cold milk. Stir before enjoying.
