Lemongrass tea is caffeine-free with a citrus flavour and aroma. It is invigorating and zesty with a lingering sweetness. This soothing herbal tea can promote relaxation, great for the evening.
Before steeping, warm the teapot or mug, depending on which one you are using. To do so, add hot water to it, swirl around carefully and discard.
Add fresh or dried lemongrass to the warm teapot or infuser mug. Pour freshly boiled water over the tea, cover the teapot or mug and steep for 5 minutes.
If using a teapot, pour the steeped tea into a cup over a strainer to catch the loose lemongrass. If using an infuser mug, simply remove the infuser basket when the steeping process is complete.
If desired, add sweetener of your choice to the cup of lemongrass tea and stir until dissolved. Enjoy!
