Sift matcha in bowl, and slowly pour in the hot water.
Using a bamboo whisk, gently mix the two ingredients together until smooth. You can choose to add more or less water if the thickness is not to your liking.
TO MAKE MATCHA AFFOGATO
Add 2 scoops of ice cream to your bowl or cup, and slowly pour the koicha matcha over it.
Top the koicha matcha affogato with fruit, chocolate shavings and/or nuts if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Chill your ice cream bowl/glass in the fridge while preparing the koicha matcha. This will help keep your ice cream cold with the warm matcha when serving.
