Jasmine Green Tea Mimosa

This 3 ingredient tea mimosa is bright, sparkling and smooth tasting with a bit of zest and floral notes. The flavours are well-balanced and not too sweet. Let this be the star of your next brunch!

Ingredients
  

FOR JASMINE GREEN TEA CONCENTRATE

  • 2 teaspoons Jasmine Green Tea leaves or 2 tea bags
  • 1/2 cup hot water ~80°C/176°F

FOR 1 MIMOSA

  • 1/4 cup chilled Champagne or Sparkling Wine see notes for non-alcoholic options
  • 6 tablespoons orange juice
  • Orange slices for garnish

Instructions
 

TO MAKE JASMINE GREEN TEA CONCENTRATE

  • Steep Jasmine Green Tea in hot water for 3 minutes, covered. Alternatively, you can steep the jasmine green tea in cold water the night before (about 6-8 hours).
  • Remove tea leaves or tea bags. Let the hot tea cool then chill in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

TO ASSEMBLE 1 MIMOSA:

  • In a champagne flute, combine 1/4 cup chilled champagne or sparkling wine or non-alcoholic option and 6 tablespoons orange juice.
  • Top with 1/4 cup jasmine green tea concentrate. Adjust amount of alcohol or tea to your liking.
  • Garnish the rim of the glass with a small orange slice. Repeat these 3 steps to make the other mimosa.
  • Serve and cheers!

Notes

For an alcohol-free version, use non-alcoholic sparkling wine, sparkling water or ginger ale.
