Brown Sugar Matcha Latte

This Brown Sugar Matcha Latte is rich, smooth and creamy with a caramelized sweetness. Made with homemade brown sugar syrup, matcha and your choice of milk, this easy recipe comes together in just a few simple steps.
Prep Time 3 minutes
Total Time 3 minutes
Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon matcha
  • ¼ cup water cold
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1-2 tablespoons brown sugar syrup
  • ice
  • whipped cream or cold foam for topping (optional)

Instructions

  • Sift matcha into a resealable bottle, jar or cocktail shaker to remove clumps. Add cold water, seal and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds or until frothy and smooth.
  • In a serving glass, add brown sugar syrup. The amount used depends on your preference. I recommend anywhere from 1-2 tablespoons of the syrup to start. You can always add more later if you would like it sweeter.
  • Fill the glass with ice then slowly pour milk over the ice cubes, followed by the cold brew matcha. Pouring slowly will help to create a layered latte.
  • Top this iced latte with whipped cream or cold foam (optional). Stir the drink to combine before serving or enjoying!
