This banana bread tea latte is a dessert-inspired drink made with black tea, milk and homemade banana bread syrup. Smooth, sweet and full of warm banana, vanilla and spice flavours. Enjoy hot or iced.
In a teapot or mug, steep black tea in freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. Strain the loose tea leaves of remove tea bags after steeping.
In a glass filled with ice, add the banana bread syrup, steeped black tea and milk. Stir gently to combine. Adjust the amount of banana bread syrup to taste.
Top the iced latte with cold foam. Sprinkle with cinnamon and garnish with thin banana slices (optional).
Notes
To Make It Hot: Steep the black tea in a mug then stir in the banana bread syrup. Heat and froth milk and pour it over the sweetened tea, serving immediately.*Make the banana bread syrup at home! Get the recipe on the blog here.
