Apple Cinnamon Hojicha Latte

Sweet apples, aromatic cinnamon and roasted green tea create a blend of fall flavours for this latte. Made with hojicha powder, homemade apple crisp syrup and milk, this Apple Cinnamon Hojicha Latte is earthy with real apple flavour and a kiss of warm spice. Top it with a swirl of whipped cream, too!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon hojicha powder
  • ¼ cup hot water under boiling
  • 2-3 tablespoons apple crisp simple syrup
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Whipped cream
  • Ground cinnamon and thin apple slices for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a mug, sift hojicha powder to remove clumps. Add hot water and whisk together until smooth. Hojicha powder can be whisked with a bamboo whisk or an electric whisk, similar to matcha.
  • Pour apple crisp simple syrup into the mug of hojicha and stir until well combined.
  • Heat and froth milk of your choice. Add the milk froth to the mug with some whipped cream on top. Sprinkle ground cinnamon and garnish with thin apple slices. Enjoy!
