In a mug, sift hojicha powder to remove clumps. Add hot water and whisk together until smooth. Hojicha powder can be whisked with a bamboo whisk or an electric whisk, similar to matcha.
Pour apple crisp simple syrup into the mug of hojicha and stir until well combined.
Heat and froth milk of your choice. Add the milk froth to the mug with some whipped cream on top. Sprinkle ground cinnamon and garnish with thin apple slices. Enjoy!
