Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon matcha
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • ½ cup milk of your choice
  • 1-2 tablespoons lavender simple syrup
  • ice
  • Optional: whipped cream or cold foam and culinary dried lavender for garnish

Instructions

  • To cold brew matcha, sift matcha into a resealable bottle or jar (ie. mason jar) and add cold water. Seal the bottle or jar and shake it vigorously for approximately 15 seconds or until it is frothy with no clumps.
  • Add lavender simple syrup to a serving glass then fill it with ice cubes. You can add more or less lavender simple syrup, depending on how strong you’d like the floral flavour and sweetness. I recommend starting with less syrup as you can always add more later, if desired.
  • Slowly pour milk of your choice over the ice cubes, followed by the cold brew matcha. Stir the drink to combine before serving or enjoying! Optional: top the glass with whipped cream or cold foam and a sprinkle of dried lavender buds.
