Lavender Simple Syrup

Lavender Simple Syrup is an easy way to add floral flavour to drinks like tea, coffee, lemonade, cocktails and more. It is fragrant, sweet and earthy with calming properties.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons culinary dried lavender

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan over medium-heat, combine water, granulated sugar and culinary-grade dried lavender. Heat and stir until sugar dissolves completely. Bring to a simmer.
  • Remove from heat. Cover the saucepan and let the lavender steep in the mixture for 20 minutes. 
  • Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the lavender simple syrup into an airtight jar or bottle. Seal the airtight container and store the simple syrup in the refrigerator for up to 1 month. 

Notes

How to use this simple syrup: Sweeten and flavour tea, coffee, cocktails/mocktails, lemonades and more.  Add 1-2 tablespoons of lavender syrup per 1 cup. Adjust to taste.
