Hibiscus Tea Spritzer (Mocktail)

This Hibiscus Tea Spritzer is vibrant, zesty and tart. Sparkling water gives this tea infused mocktail the bubbly taste without the alcohol. Serve it for a special occasion, any time of the year!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons hibiscus loose leaf or 1 hibiscus tea bag
  • ¼ cup water freshly boiled
  • 1 tablespoon sugar plus extra for sugared rim
  • ½ cup sparkling water
  • juice of half a lime
  • ice
  • lime wedge for garnish and sugared rim

Instructions
 

  • Steep hibiscus tea (loose leaf or tea bags) in freshly boiled water for 7 minutes, covered. 
  • Remove the loose leaves or tea bag and discard. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Let the sweetened hibiscus tea cool and chill in the refrigerator until cold (approximately 1 hour). 
  • To serve, start by rimming a glass with sugar. Rub lime juice along the rim of a glass then place the glass upside down in a dish of granulated sugar.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes then pour hibiscus tea. Top with sparkling water. Squeeze fresh lime juice and stir. Garnish with a lime wedge. Cheers!
