Sugar Cookie Tea Latte

Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with a Sugar Cookie Latte for tea drinkers! Made with a black tea instead of espresso, it has sweet notes of vanilla, butter and almonds. Sipping this latte is like eating freshly baked cookies with a cup of tea.

Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons black tea loose leaf or 2 tea bags
  • ½ cup water freshly boiled
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar cookie simple syrup
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Red and green sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  • In a mug, steep black tea in freshly boiled water for 5 minutes, covered.
  • Strain loose leaf tea or remove tea bags, depending on what you used. Add sugar cookie simple syrup and stir. The amount of syrup used depends on your preference. If desired, add more. However, I wouldn't add less as you need at least 1 tablespoon because this syrup is responsible for the main flavouring. You wouldn't get a strong enough sugar cookie flavour if you use less.
  • Heat and froth milk until it almost doubles in volume. Top the mug of tea with the milk froth and add red and green sprinkles. Enjoy!

Notes

To Make An Iced Sugar Cookie Tea Latte:
