Warm, buttery and sweet just like the classic cookies this syrup was inspired by. Sugar Cookie Simple Syrup is a flavourful sweetener that is a tasty addition to teas, coffees and cocktails, especially during the holidays. This recipe requires only 5 ingredients.
In a small saucepan over medium-heat, combine water and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let cool.
Add vanilla extract, butter extract, almond extract and stir together.
Pour the sugar cookie simple syrup into a sterilized airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
Notes
How to use this simple syrup: Sweeten and flavour tea, coffee, cocktails, mocktails and more. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar cookie syrup per 1 cup. Adjust to taste.
