Equipment

  • small bowl
  • measuring spoons
  • mixing spoon
  • face mask brush (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon matcha green tea powder
  • 1 teaspoon liquid honey
  • 1 teaspoon aloe vera optional
  • Warm water

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix matcha green tea powder, liquid honey, aloe vera (if using).
  • Add a bit of warm water to create a thick mask-like consistency. It should be like a paste, not runny. The amount of warm water you need will depend on whether or not you used aloe vera, too. I suggest adding a small amount of warm water at a time (about ½ teaspoon).
  • After patch testing*, cleanse your face and pat dry. Apply the mask to your face and neck area. You can do so with a face mask brush or even your fingers. Be careful as it could get a bit messy. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes or until it completely dries.
  • Wash off with warm water. Pat your face dry and moisturize. You can use this DIY face mask once a week.

Notes

*Always test new skin products on a small area of your skin before using, especially if you have sensitive skin!
**Please note that this face mask is made to be used the same day. Do not store it away. This makes enough for one use.
