Peppermint Matcha Latte

Creamy matcha latte with a lasting cooling finish from real peppermint. You can use fresh or dried peppermint leaves or even peppermint tea bags.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon matcha
  • 2 teaspoons peppermint tea leaves or 2 tea bags
  • 1/2 hot water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • peppermint candies crushed for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Steep peppermint tea in hot water for 5 minutes, covered.
  • While the tea is steeping, sift matcha in a bowl. Set aside.
  • Heat and froth milk until it has doubled in volume. You can do this on the stovetop with a handheld frother or use an electric milk frother instead.
  • When the tea is done steeping, remove the tea leaves/tea bags and add it to the bowl with the sifted matcha. Using a bamboo whisk or a handheld frother whisk together then pour in a mug.
  • Stir sugar until dissolved, top mug with frothed milk and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies (optional). Enjoy!
