Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons oolong tea, loose leaf or 2 tea bags
  • ½ cup hot water just under boiling ~ 90°C/194°F
  • 1-2 tablespoons brown sugar syrup
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ice cubes if making an iced latte

Instructions

FOR HOT OOLONG TEA LATTE:

  • In a mug, add oolong tea (loose leaf or tea bags) and hot water. Cover and let the oolong tea steep for 4 minutes.
  • Strain or remove oolong tea bags after steeping. Add brown sugar syrup and stir.
  • Heat and froth milk until it almost doubles in volume. Top the mug of oolong tea with the milk froth. Enjoy!

FOR ICED OOLONG TEA LATTE:

  • Steep the oolong tea in hot water for 4 minutes, covered. Strain or remove the tea bags after steeping.
  • In a glass, add 1-2 tablespoons of brown sugar syrup (adjust the amount based on your preference). Drizzle some of the syrup on the inside of the glass, too.
  • Fill the glass with ice. Pour the oolong tea then milk. Stir to combine before enjoying. If desired, top the glass with whipped cream or cold foam.
