This turmeric latte recipe features warming and healing spices whisked into milk for a golden drink with a soothing and earthy taste. Naturally caffeine-free and high in antioxidants, this latte is great for the end of day or when you're not feeling 100%!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk dairy or oat
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon ground ginger or ¼ inch fresh ginger, grated
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Maple syrup or honey to taste

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan on medium-high heat, heat milk with turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  • Remove from heat just before it begins to boil. Add maple syrup or honey, if using.
  • If you would prefer a frothy turmeric latte, add the mixture to a blender or use a handheld frother to froth. However, turmeric will stain the blender or frother so I highly recommend soaking and washing in warm water right away to avoid stubborn stains.
  • Pour the golden milk into a mug to serve. Make sure to strain if you used fresh ginger instead of ground ginger. Enjoy!

Notes

*Important Note: The spices may settle to the bottom of your cup, depending on the speed you are drinking this latte. So, be mindful of that as your last sip could be very spicy if you want to avoid that!
