It's definitely a fun tea to experiment with in the kitchen and with tea blending. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on it too, Susan :)

I remember the first time I tried Lapsang Souchang. I got a sample from my tea supplier. I opened the packet and took a sniff - it smelled like a heavenly campfire! And I enjoyed the first few sips, but unfortunately like you I found it too strong to drink this tea unblended. So I added a little to my usual keemun and it was nice, just a hint of smokiness. I am intrigued with the thought of using it for cooking and might give that a try.
