Lavender Matcha Latte Recipe
Full directions and ingredient measurements are in the printable recipe card below.
Step 1: Make the lavender syrup.
Only 3 ingredients are needed to make lavender simple syrup. It should be made in advance as you will need to let the syrup cool before making this latte.
Step 2: Make cold brew matcha.
Sift matcha into a resealable bottle or jar. This will remove any clumps for a smoother tasting tea.
Add cold water, seal the bottle or jar and shake vigorously until frothy and smooth. This could take about 15-20 seconds.
Step 3: Assemble the iced lavender matcha latte.
In a serving glass, add lavender simple syrup and then fill the glass with ice. You can add more or less lavender simple syrup, depending on how strong you’d like the floral flavour and sweetness. I recommend starting with less syrup as you can always add more later, if desired.
Slowly pour milk of your choice over the ice cubes, followed by the cold brew matcha. Stir the drink to combine before serving or enjoying!
Optional: Leave a little bit of room in your glass to top the iced latte with whipped cream or cold foam then sprinkle with culinary dried lavender.

Yes. Heat the water (under boiling) and whisk the matcha until frothy. Assemble the latte in a mug without ice and froth the milk before combining.
I have a lot of lavender syrup leftover after making this latte. What do I do with it?
My recipe for the lavender syrup will make enough for several drinks! Store the extra syrup in the fridge, covered. It will be good for up to 1 month.
