This Month in Tea // May 2018 Blog Round Up

This month was busy with tea events on my end. I hosted a tea workshop for a fiftieth birthday party, royal wedding tea celebrations and I put together a bridal tea party just to name a few of fun moments. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to blog as much as I would usually like because of my schedule this month, but I’ll be back to my usual content in June (National Iced Tea Month)! Here are some other bloggers who deserved to be recognized for some of their awesome tea content in May! This month’s blog round up highlights outdoor tea adventures, tea tastings, spiked tea and much more.

Tea

Tea Journal | Ginger Matcha LatteThis recipe Stephanie created with one of my favourite matcha brands is a delicious way to drink more of the green tea powder. The candied ginger rim is a must!

Tea Happiness | Tips for Taking Your Tea Outside Now that the weather has warmed up, I highly recommend you take some of your tea sessions outdoors! Sarah always inspires me to take my tea outside more with her gorgeous outdoor tea photos she shares on Instagram. I love that she offers some great tips for successful outdoor tea adventures on her blog.

My Japanese Green Tea | My Experience with Hosting Tea Tastings – Ricardo wrote about what he has learned by hosting tea tastings. I found this very interesting since it was published shortly after I hosted one myself. I didn’t share too many Japanese teas at my tasting, but based on his findings, I’ll have to bring genmaicha along with me next time.

Food

Sweet Lizzy | Matcha Basil Limeade (paleo, refined sugar free) – Who’s ready for lots of iced tea drinks this season? Here’s a great one to try! I love matcha + mint combination but have not tried matcha with basil enough.

Eight Forest Lane | Chai Spiced Tea Cake – Just by looking at this recipe and photos I’m already envisioning the perfect morning of waking up to a warm slice of this tea cake to pair with my morning cuppa. The crumble topping is everything!

Simply Tasheena | Earl Grey Spiked Tea – I have not tried this recipe yet, but I’m definitely loving the sounds of it. This drink is spiked with vodka, but there are more flavours added to the earl grey tea than just that (ie. orange, lemon and mint!) This might be a refreshing and fun drink to make for BBQ season.

Sprinkle Bakes | White Rose Tea and Coconut Milk Panna Cotta – Leave it to Heather to create both a delicious and stunning dessert. This recipe features an enchanting white tea blended with rose buds. It would be perfect for a tea party!

Lifestyle

Wattle and Ash | The Healing Power of Tea – I found this post by Melinda to be a nice reminder to stop and take time for more tea breaks. Everything else can wait for a few minutes. I just had to pass this message along!

I hope you enjoy this month in tea blog round up! Do you have a blog you think I should check out? Let me know in the comments below!
