This Month in Tea // November Blog Round Up

The last day of November means we can soon start those tea advent calendars we have been trying our hardest not to open until December 1st! I had plans to make my own this year, but someone gifted me the David’s Tea 24 Days of Tea advent calendar so I’ll be using that. I have not done a countdown with their advent calendars in what feels like forever, so I’m curious what’s behind each door. I may have already peaked at one (my birthday) and am really looking forward celebrating with that day’s tea! Let me know if you’ll be counting down until Christmas with tea this year. If you need something to distract you from peaking before tomorrow, catch up on some blogs with this month in tea November round up.

Tea

She Blogs Tea | Afternoon Tea – LA Style – This tea spot Tiffany visited looked like tea heaven! From the teacup light fixtures to the vintage inspired seating area, afternoon tea at HiSocieTEA should be on your list if you’re ever in the LA area. I know it’s on mine now!

White, No Sugar | Flowering tea, when tea leaves become art – I remember the first time I discovered flowering teas was from a classmate in college and I immediately made my way over to my local Teaopia at the time. I was mesmerized. Anca writes about how they are made and even includes a clip of her flowering tea steeping/blooming (which is always such a treat to watch!)

A Girl & Grey | 3 Simple Tea Based Mocktails For the Holiday Season – Using some teas from Bluebird Tea Co., Sharni created some fun and festive tea mocktails. I love the sounds of the Mrs. Claus’ Raspberry Prosecco.

The Tea Squirrel | Holiday entertaining. Tea and food pairings to wow your guests – Anna has shared a lot of great tea recipes and pairing tips on her blog this year. In this post, she rounded up some that will be helpful and awesome to make this holiday!

Food

Constellation Inspiration | Poached Pear and Raspberry Pistachio Cake – I’m not sure what to say about this recipe from Amy other than that it is so flippin’ beautiful! To make it even better, the pears are actually poached in a black tea.

From My Bowl | Almond & Puerh “Cheese” Spread (Vegan, Gluten Free) – This recipe is super simple and if you’ve never made vegan “cheese” before, the nutritional yeast ingredient is what gives it a subtle cheese-y flavour. Caitlin took this recipe up a notch by adding shu puerh tea to it…yum! I think you can guess what will be an appetizer at my holiday table this year.

DIY

Punk Projects | Tea Art Printable & Plum Deluxe Tea Review – Katie reviewed a few teas from Plum Deluxe (they have some tasty blends!) and she also shared a beautiful Peter Pan tea quote art that you can download for free. Seriously, it’s too pretty to not share!
