Happy October and Fall! It’s my favourite season and not just because it’s perfect for tea sipping. Sweater weather. Boots. Baking mode. Fall colours. My birthday season. There are so many reasons to look forward to trading my cold brew and iced teas for more big mugs of hot tea. Also, the Royal Botanical Gardens Tea Festival is happening soon. If you can make it next month, be sure to stop by my talk about tea blogging (schedule details to come). I’ll be chatting about the roles of a tea blogger, what it’s like to be one and more. If you have something specific you’d love for me to discuss, please reach out and let me know in advance. In the meantime, here are some fabulous tea related posts from last month that you should catch up on!
Tea
Beginning with Bergamot | Chai Tea Pumpkin Macarons – Thanks to my recent read, The Colour of Tea by Hannah Tunnicliffe, I’ve been having serious macaron cravings and when I saw this recipe from Sara that craving only grew.
One More Steep | An Afternoon Tea Party – I’m currently steeping some ideas to host an afternoon tea party for my birthday this year so I was excited to get some inspiration from Michelle. She hosted an autumn theme one (cute mini white pumpkins, yes!!) and I love all the little table setting details, especially the rose teaspoons.
Tea Thoughts | Green Tea Apple Cider – My local apple festival was just this weekend and apple cider was definitely a main feature! But, I’m actually not a huge fan because I find it way too sweet. Nazanin was inspired to make it from scratch because she feels the same way. Of course, this simple and aromatic recipe is infused with tea, too 🙂
Gabriela Green | Tea-spiration by Lu Ann Pannunzio – Book Review – I got a lovely surprise last week when I came across this blog reviewing my book, Tea-spiration! Thank you so much Gabriela for sharing your thoughts. I’m thrilled that you loved it. If you’re interested in my book, check out her review.
Food
Sugar Loves Spices | Saskatoon Berry Galette with Lemon and Thyme – I’ve been in (Canadian) Thanksgiving mode so I definitely saved this beautiful looking recipe that would pair well with tea after a feast!
Kitchen Heals Soul | Pear and Chocolate Scones – I relate to Janice when she says “a bad scone is downright disappointing” however, unlike her, I don’t avoid scones when I go out because, well, I’m just too addicted. That’s probably why when I first saw her Instagram stories with these beauties, I couldn’t wait for the recipe and had to get some scones ASAP. I’m excited to try these next though, because out of all the scones I’ve had in my lifetime, I don’t think I’ve had pear ones before!
Lifestyle
Join The Gossip | Two A Tea, A Delightful Afternoon Tea Room in Glendora, CA – In case you weren’t aware yet, afternoon tea rooms have a special place in my heart. They’re the perfect space to take a tea break and enjoy fine things. I love the sounds of Two A Tea. If you’re ever in Southern California, this afternoon tea spot might be worth checking out!
Loves and Loathes | 6 Signs You’re A Tea Addict – I always enjoy posts like these because there seems to be an endless amount of signs! I nodded my head in agreement to 5 out of 6 of these points. How about you?
As always, enjoy this September blog round up! If you have a blog you think I should check out, please leave it in the comments below.
Chai and pumpkin- yummmm
What a lovely roundup! Only skimmed so far but excited to check them all out with a hot cuppa!
I have seen the 6 signs you a tea addict already and it made me giggle quite a bit!
Thank you so much for featuring my afternoon tea party post! I hope you share photos from your birthday tea party 🙂
