This round up is a bit delayed (sorry!) due to Canada’s 150th birthday celebrations which, of course, involved tea. Whether you celebrated Canada Day or not, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Since June is officially over that also means National Iced Tea Month has come to an end. But, don’t forget, you don’t need a national day or month as an excuse to drink tea 😉 In fact, you can still get my free iced tea ebook here to continue making your refreshing drinks all summer long! So pour yourself a tall, cool glass of your favourite iced tea and check out some of these great tea related blog posts from last month. Happy reading!
Tea
Thirsty for Tea | Growing Tea: An Experiment – After my attempts to grow tea plants where I live in Canada, I’ve always been curious about who else is trying the same. Bonnie shares how her plants have been doing since she received seeds a few weeks ago. I’ll definitely be checking in on her blog often to see how the rest of her tea growing journey goes!
Biodiversitea | I Met My Matcha – This is a new tea blog I found just last week. Megan visited Bluebird Tea Co. and shared her adventures with their tea samples and their flavoured matchas. I absolutely love her moral of the story! Be sure to check out more about her and her blog, too.
Taste The Tea | 5 Ways to Use Jasmine Tea – Chelsea covers a few ways you can get creative with tea in the kitchen, jasmine infused tea specifically. I love it iced and the first time I ever experimented with it outside of a cup was to cook rice (so good!). I’ll be sharing a different jasmine infused recipe on the blog soon, too!
Tea Journey | How To Get Started with Tea and Food Pairings – Need some inspiration to help you experiment with different tea and food flavours? This awesome post from Katherine covers a few tips to get you started on this yummy journey!
Food
Peppers & Pennies | How to Host an Instagram Worthy Girls Night – Okay so this post isn’t exactly tea but the entire time I was going through the photos and reading Amanda’s words I couldn’t stop thinking about a tea and cheese pairing party similar to what she shares on her post. Thanks for all the inspiration, Amanda (and the delicious white wine cocktail recipe!)
Treasure Every Moment | Soft Baked Earl Grey and Sultana Cookies – You can’t go wrong with a soft baked cookie and these cookies from Helen’s blog look absolutely delicious! Of course what makes a soft baked cookie even better is that it is infused with tea 🙂
Also in the news…
The Hamilton Spectator did a piece on tea trends and some highlights from my chat with the writer were quoted. Check it out here.
Enjoy this June blog round up! Do you have a blog you think I should check out? Let me know in the comments below!
