This Month In Tea // April Blog Round Up

It always feels more like spring time when May is here! Flowers are blooming, more sunshine than rain, and, of course, spring teas continue to arrive. However, April was still a great month for my tea journey. Many teas were steeped and enjoyed, including spring 2017 dragonwell green tea. New tea cups were added to my growing collection and the Tea Box Express I curated was sent to their subscribers with Tea-spiration as the main feature! You can check out all the contents from that box on my Instagram Stories right now (or if you’re reading this later, visit this great review!) Afterwards, be sure to catch up on some of these tea related blog reads from April.

Tea

Notes on Tea | How Much Tea is in a Teaspoon? – Do you usually just measure your tea into your steeping vessel with a teaspoon not knowing the weight of leaves exactly? Most instructions on tea packages tell us to use 1 teaspoons for the perfect cup. In this post, Georgia measures a teaspoon of some teas to see just how much it is and it’s definitely interesting to see the difference!

KRAFTIREADER | Darjeeling Tea Taste Test – I recently connected with Adele and found her blog when I stumbled upon this specific post. In a blind taste test she set out for herself, she sipped 11 different Darjeeling teas that came from 6 different UK tea vendors. Check out the three that were her top favourites!

Thirsty for Tea | Faux-Fabergé Easter Tea Eggs – Goodness, these tea filled eggs are gorgeous! If you were like me and tried something new this year to decorate eggs for Easter, then you may be interested in this incredible creation from Bonnie.

Food

A Cup of Catherine | Adagio Teas Earl Grey Lavender Panna Cotta – If you’re looking for the perfect evening treat, tea infused, this one from Catherine may be it! I love the earl grey and lavender combination.

Ink Foods | Spring Tea Scones & Tea Cookies – The arrival of spring means the opportunities for outdoor tea parties. Kristen had me wanting just that with this post that features two delicious recipes for a tea party!

Nitty Gritty Life | How to Make Exotically Scented Jasmine Tea at Home – I have never made my own scented tea before (have you?!) but after reading this how-to I’m intrigued. I’ll have to get my hands on the right jasmine and then do so with some Assam!

DIY

Craft Bits | How to make a garden in a teacup – This is probably one of the most detailed tea crafts I have ever seen. At first glance, it seems complicated, but the way the how-to is laid out helps simplify things. This would be so fun to make and gift afterwards, too.
