What Blogs to Read This Month in Tea // November Round Up

It’s officially my favourite (and busiest) month of the year! Aside from the holidays, December is filled with family/friends birthdays and we can’t forget about December 15 – International Tea Day! If you’re subscribed to my newsletter then you may have downloaded the tea themed calendar I created last year for 2016. I’m currently working on a 2017 version that should be in your inboxes in the next couple of weeks. That tea date and more will be highlighted on the calendar. Until then, it’s time to put the kettle on. If you’re looking for some tea festival recaps, festive recipes for your tea time and more, be sure to check out the blogs on this November round up.

Tea

World Tea Podcast | Hamilton Tea Festival – What Is Tea Blogging? – The RBG Hamilton Tea Festival took place November 5 and was a successful first event. If you missed out, TJ gave a talk on the subject of tea blogging and it is available to listen on his podcast. If you’re interested in blogging about tea, this is definitely a nice resource.

The Tea Squirrel | The San Francisco International Tea Festival 2016 – It seems like quite a few different tea festivals happened the same weekend of the RBG Hamilton Tea Festival this year. Anna attended the one in San Francisco and wrote a nice overview of the event on her blog highlighting her favourite vendors and VIP sighting πŸ˜‰

Adventures in Tealand | West Coast: Westholme, Ucluelet, Tea, Sun and Son! – If you want to be jealous of a summer vacation, check out this post with lovely photos from Rita. Lucky girl went to Vancouver Island to visit and drink Canadian tea right on Canada’s tea farm! She also stayed at a place owned by Jason Priestley’s family…Did I mention she is so lucky and I am so jealous?

SororiTea Sisters | Jam and Tea Service at the Kitten and the Bear – Kitten and the Bear has been on my tea places to visit when I am in Toronto. I have not had luck getting a spot at the cute little shop yet, but was happy to read a rave review from someone else’s visit. You may want to put this spot on your list if you’re ever in Toronto and want a delightful cup of tea and scone.

Food

Joyous Health | Holiday Cookies! Fruit and Nut Thins – If there is one thing you can not have enough of during the holiday season (aside from tea, of course) it’s cookies! Joy shares a recipe she adapted for these delightful cookies that are quite similar to biscotti and pair so nicely with a cuppa.

Tiny Sweet Tooth | Orange Cranberry Scones – If you have been following my Instagram stories, you may have noticed I have been making scones regularly. What can I say? I’m addicted to baking (and eating) them. Cranberry scones are probably my favourite right now so I obviously saved this recipe from Vicky to make next time!

Beard & Bonnet | Apple and Rooibos Tea Throat Lozenges – With just a few simple ingredients (including rooibos!) you can make your own, better for you, throat lozenges. This will probably come in handy for me this winter.

DIY

Craft & Creativity | Make A Tea Advent Calendar – I made a simple tea advent calendar of my own this year. Something I literally put together in a few minutes the day before the countdown began because I almost forgot. There are so many wonderful DIY tea advent calendars to create yourself, and I love the simplicity of this one. It’s such a cool idea to hang the tea on a string of lights, too. Extra festive!
