Hi Jess, I've heard so many great things about Harney & Son's Victorian London Fog tea. I think that would be wonderful for this as would other earl grey variations. Just make sure to make a strong brew (a tea concentrate: more tea leaves, less water when steeping) so the flavours really shine, especially if you're using a lighter tea. A sprinkling of lavender on top sounds lovely, too!

Hi Lu!
From one baker & tea aficionado to another, I send compliments to your recipe! The cookies look positively scrumptious! I'm going to give them a go - ASAP!
Quick question: I have a weakness for Harney & Sons "Victorian London Fog" tea.
Their blend of black tea, oolong tea, oil of bergamot, lavender and vanilla, might be a good fit with your recipe. Seems like an icing match made in heaven to me :)
Any suggestions for icing adjustments for different blends of black tea?
Perhaps a light sprinkling of lavender on the icing?
Your recipe seems ideal for a variety of earl greys.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to posting the results!
Cheers!
