1. Shirt from Crew Teas – I’m a huge fan of the saying on this shirt which is why I was so excited to actually have a shirt that says this. With the vast selection Crew Tea offers it was hard to settle on just one design, but this shirt’s message spreads both positivity and my love for tea around. The shirt is printed on American Apparel fine jersey men’s/unisex so the sizes do run a bit big for women. For instance, I’m usually a medium or small in t-shirts, but an extra small in this shirt fits me best. While it is available in five different colours, the one I have is called butter. Crew Tea is always putting up new tea designs, so be sure to check their online catalog regularly to see what is in the works.
2. Glass Tea Brewer from Bonavita – I don’t think I can have enough glass teapots and I do appreciate that this tea brewer is quite different from any other that I have. It is entirely glass, including the infuser inside, and I like that it has measurement levels on the outside. That feature makes me really enjoy using Bonavita’s Glass Tea Brewer for when I’m creating recipes for the blog because I’m able to document measurements easily. The infuser basket has a few thin slits around for the liquid to escape and can be held by the glass lid nicely. The infuser is perfect for not allowing any smaller leaves to run out while making sure there is plenty of room for the leaves to still expand.
3. Tea Drops – Don’t be confused when you see this tea product. It may seem like just another instant tea product but Tea Drops are produced differently. They are formed with organic cane sugar and geniune tea leaves that are delicately grinded. You can get tea drops in various blends or even just straight teas/tisanes. You can also get them in a plethora of shapes – circles, hearts, stars, etc. They are my favourite to bring out during a classy tea party. Watching guests select their tea based on shapes or flavours and placing them directly in their tea cups to pour water over for a quick, but delightful cup of tea. Another clue that they are not instant tea is that you may notice tea sediment at the bottom of your cup, but that’s nothing to worry about as they are drinkable.
4. Lemon Green Tea Rub from 3 Teas – Summer is always the perfect time for BBQing, whether it is meat or veggies. This rub has been my favourite for kicking up my vegetables this season, on the grill or just in the stove top. It consists of a lemon green tea (gunpowder green tea, lime pieces, calendula, sunflower petals) peppermint, ginger and salt. I also use it to add to homemade salad dressings which has been a real treat or even to make dips. I really love the tang I get in each bite. Your veggies definitely need this handcrafted green tea rub.
5. Tasting Set from Adagio – A cupping set has been something I’ve been looking to get for a while to evaluate more teas, but it was one of those things I always seemed to forget about when I finished a purchase. However, I finally invested in one from Adagio’s online shop and glad I did. The one I got was a bit smaller than I expected, but is ideal for small quantities of tea – perfect for what I need. The set is 5 ounces with a 2.5″ diameter and contains a porcelain bowl, cup and lid. The opening is just a small hole, no teeth, so I sometimes find finer tea leaves escape, but it’s not a huge issue for me. I’m going to be picking up another set so I can begin more tea comparisons!
