I’m currently sipping on my second cup of genmaicha filled with sweet and nutty notes and I am trying to understand where last month went. Part of me is glad it went by fast though as it was a hectic month with tax time, my other work, family things and of course, this special project that I mentioned once late last year that I’m working on. Now that I am getting through it and well on my way, the excitement is real. All will be revealed in about a month or two so stay tuned and subscribe to my newsletter to be the first to know the details. This month’s blog post round up consists of many great tea things. You’ll find stunning tea scenes, tutorial to create my go-to summer drink and even an interesting experiment involving tea and (no) wine.
Tea
Tea Nerd | Tea Whipped Cream and Berries – Rachel is another Canadian tea blogger that I’m super glad I found last month. She has a lot of great content, but her latest one is my favourite. This recipe shows just how simple it can be to begin using tea as an ingredient.
Tea Masters Blog | When a Cup of Tea is a Trip to Nature – It’s a dream of mine to steep and sip tea with a gorgeous view of a tea plantation. Until that dream comes true, I’m living through the amazing photos captured here of just that.
i Heart Teas | Skipping Wine for Tea – Rachel seems to always be experimenting! As she mentioned in this post, it may be because of her Aries sign. This time around she decided to do a wine fast and documented the tea she had instead along with her conclusion.
Thirsty for Tea | Sakura Latte – Bonnie did an entire week devoted to sakura on her blog and this recipe was probably my favourite. I wanted to make it for the simple fact that it was presented so beautifully. It’s the most perfect way to welcome spring.
Food
Kirbie’s Cravings | Matcha Jelly – Get out your favourite matcha for this recipe. There are quite a few matcha recipes on this blog that I have made before. This one appears to be essentially a mix between jello and panna cotta and looks like a matcha latte! If anyone happens to know of a good vegetarian substitute for gelatin, please let me know.
Health
The Healthy Maven | How To Make Cold Brew Tea – Davida teamed up with Shelby from The Honest Leaf to bring a quick tutorial on how you can easily make your own cold brew tea for the warmer season upon us. To make it even easier to follow, included in the post are stunning photos and a how-to video.
Lifestyle
Sabataged | Matcha Matcha Matcha – In this post you’ll find someone who found it easier to kick their coffee craving with matcha than any other tea. The other plus, is they are not just drinking it for health benefits. They actually love it! This makes me excited for more matcha posts coming to their blog soon.
Plenty The Magazine | Cloud-Busting: The Art of Tasseomancy – If you have been curious about tea leaf reading for a while now, Nathalie shares her experiences having her leaves read by Amy Taylor which just makes me want a reading from her even more now!
Enjoy the posts from this April round up! Do you have a blog you think I should check out? Let me know in the comments below!
Thank you so much for the mention:)! I will make sure I post more matcha recipes and matcha related stuff in the future. Until then, I will be following your blog for other great articles!!!!
