Happy Halloween! I was excited to stay in and give out candy this year, even though last year we only had a couple of kids. Giving out chocolate bars and lollipops is fun but sometimes I wish it was acceptable to hand out tea to everyone! Don’t you agree? At the end of Halloween, you’re sure to have some leftover candy to keep all for yourself. Why not sit back with some and get reading (or listening *podcast included*)? Here are a few of my favourite blogs from this spooky month for you to catch up on.
Tea
My Japanese Green Tea | Green Tea and Weight Loss – I’m really glad Ricardo did this post. There is no such thing as a miracle weight loss tea or miracle weight loss anything for that fact. Green tea of all sorts is a lovely beverage that should be considered for other great true qualities.
World Tea Podcast | Asian Teaware from a Canadian Perspective – Here’s a podcast you should most definitely add to your list. When drinking tea, I often try to think of the leaf in my cup and the hard work and steps it took to get there. But what about the teaware I’m drinking from? World Tea Podcast discusses all that and more here.
International Tea Moment | A Moment to Fixate on Assam – This is the perfect season for a warm, bold cup of Assam and Jen’s writing style makes me crave it even more. She answers one of the hardest questions ever “What is your favourite tea?” I especially enjoy when she expresses that Assam is “the James Bonds of tea.”
Food
Baking with Gab | Citrusy Earl Grey Cocktail and Tea Obsession – I love reading other non-tea blogs and learning the writer is a tea lover. Gab shares her obsession with a very refreshing looking recipe. She also has other earl grey infused recipes on her blog that I’m adding to my list of things to make asap!
Family Bites | Spiced Pumpkin Quinoa Muffins – These muffins are seriously so delicious I couldn’t not share the recipe here. I was looking for a pumpkin recipe of some sort to bake and was intrigued by the use of quinoa in these muffins so I gave them a go. I highly recommend you do, too! They were a perfect quick breakfast item with a cup of Assam.
DIY
Dans le Lakehouse | DIY Earl Grey Tea Soy Candle – I love the idea of repurposing tea cups in many ways, especially candles. What I love about this tea cup candle how to is that it actually uses loose leaf tea right into the soy base which makes it that much prettier. Tanya does a great job at making it seem easy, too!
So You Think You’re Crafty | 10 DIY Kitchen Decor Projects – I find it easier to cook or bake in a kitchen that is well organized and quite lovely. Tauni has a great round up of some kitchen DIY that are perfect for sprucing up the place. I’m thinking of doing the Anthropology Inspired Zinc Letters but switching them around to spell TEA.
I love these posts that give me an opportunity to get to know several new bloggers – thank you!
No problem! It’s why I love them as well 🙂
Those quinoa muffins look amazing! We’re trying to eat more quinoa (I normally use it in taco salads) but I have yet to bake with it! I can’t wait to give it a try!
Mmm, I love the idea of adding it in taco salads!
