Perfect Brew: Tea Timer App

I’m always jealous when I see cool tea apps that are only available for iPhones & not my Android. So, I was quite surprised to learn that this app (Perfect Brew: Tea Timer) was available for Android only (iPhone app is currently in development).

This app comes with 23 pre-set teas and infusions which include a description, brief history of each tea, and health benefits. The following are the pre-set:

• Yellow Tea
• Rooibos
• Nettle
• Peppermint
• Camomile
• Rosemary
• Thyme

• Cannabis
• Generic Herbal Infusions (leaves)
• Generic Herbal Infusions (stalks)
• Generic Herbal Infusions (roots)
• Generic Herbal Infusions (flowers)

A feature I especially like about this tea timer app is that it gives you the option to choose whether the tea you’re drinking is loose leaf or a tea bag and also allows you to customize your own timers to match your ideal taste. An added bonus is that I found that while my phone fell “asleep”, the timer was still kicking and notified me when it was complete. 

I spoke with Jaime Domínguez from KaleidoGames’ team on the creation of this new app. “The aim of this app is to be the most useful and beautiful app ever made for making teas and I will work as much as I need to get there. I made custom particle effects, took pictures and samples of everything to make sure the teas looked as realistic and beautiful as possible. I am completely open to suggestions or improvements of the product in any way.”
