Tea Review: The Emperor’s Tea Very Berry Rooibos

Very Berry Rooibos – The Emperor’s Tea

“Dr.
M.C. Rivettti started The Emperor’s Tea in 1999 when he began research
on our core product, the Cellular Rejuvenation System. It took nearly
ten years and a number of scientists to complete this all-natural health
supplement. Through techniques not yet developed, Rivetti broke new
scientific ground by implementing advanced nanotechnology into the
product to make it truly remarkable and unique. In subsequent years
Rivetti created several additional products including an extensive line
of premium, organic, loose leaf teas and various all-natural body care
products. Because we are direct tea growers, we offer the customer the
ultimate in fresh, high quality products. No products are tested on animals..ever!”

Ingredients: Summer fruit blend of Red Rooibos, Raspberries, Strawberries, and Blueberries.

Steep Time: 5 minutes

First Sip Thought: “Can I infuse this in a berry pie recipe?”

Smell: Just imagine a basket of fresh picked berries on a warm summer day. Take a slight whiff and in an instance you’re pretty much smelling the wonderful creation of this blend.

Taste: I told The Emperor’s Tea that I was a lover of rooibos tea and to surprise me with a blend. When I first received a package from them I wasn’t extremely enthused because I thought “Oh, okay.. let’s see how this differs from other Very Berry blends I have tried.” Of course, never judge a book by it’s covered because The Emperor’s Tea just proved me very very (berry) wrong! This is one very berry blend that the fruit all taste so fresh, and invigorating. I think they did a really great job with combining all the flavours and making sure each one had a big role in the taste. Nothing was over powered. I tried the blend hot with no additives and found it to be the true test of how perfect this tea is on it’s own. It has enough sweetness with one sip.  If there is one rooibos tea you must have in your collection I would suggest this one! The scent reminded me as a basket of freshly picked fruit but once steeped, the taste brought vivid images of a fresh baked berry pie to mind. However, don’t get this confused with any other pie infused dessert teas.

Verdict: 5 out of 5 tea leaves
