How to create your own #WorldTeaExpo at home

The World Tea Expo begins today and lasts all weekend long in Vegas. I have yet to attend one because I’ve either been busy with school, work, or just not budgeting a round trip Vegas plane ticket from Canada.

So, instead of attending the expo this weekend I thought I would compile a list of things I can do that may help take my mind off of the saddness and regret of not going. Below is a list on how to create your own World Tea Expo in the comfort of your own home too! Just you, and tea. I’ve decided to share the list with my readers as well (in case you’re in the same shoes as me – if so, please get new ones, I like to be unique!).

Steps

1. Drink Tea
2. Look up photos of Vegas
3. Go on Twitter and follow #WorldTeaExpo trend
4. Repeat #3 on Instagram
5. Go out and shop for some more teas
6. Drink said teas in #5
7. Blog about said teas in #5 that you drank in #6
8. Read tea blogs from those who attended the expo (i.e. iHeartTeas)
9. Sit in your room (with a cup of tea of course) and sob about how you wish you were there with the rest of the tea community.
10. Brew a bunch of different blends at home, and line them up along your kitchen table. Start walking to each different blend and sample them. At this time it’s cool to talk to yourself and share your thoughts out loud about the blend. Pretend the creator of it is standing in front of you as if you were at their booth at the expo. Use your manners, and say thank you and slide on to the next “booth.” (This plan is genius, I know)
11. Start planning a Vegas trip for next year’s expo.
12. Create a budget chart for the year so you have no excuse to miss the next one.
13. Make yourself a non-virgin tea cocktail because at this point YOU DESERVE IT (and you want to feel more Vegas-y)
14. Only do #13 if it is 5pm in your area at the moment. Any earlier and I might have to judge you.. (JUST KIDDING we’re in VEGAS! and it’s always five o’clock somewhere, right?)
15. At this point, you’re a bit tipsy, you’re still sad and envious of everything going on at the World Tea Expo so you want to create something that will make everyone there jealous and wish they were in your shoes (again). Start creating your own tea-infused baked goods.
16. Rave about said baked goods in #15 all over twitter. Tag those who are attending the expo and let them know WHAT THEY’RE MISSING TOO.
17. Pass out. It’s time to go to bed and sleep for the rest of the weekend.
18. Wake up Monday morning and pat yourself on the back for sleeping through the entire expo and not being sad anymore!
19. Make yourself a cup of tea, or two. Drink it.
20. Blog about your own wonderful World Tea Expo experiences.
21. Time to clean up from two nights before, and “take down” all the tea “booths” from the tea tasting event at the expo.
22. Sit down with your cup of tea from #19 and read through the blogs of those who actually attended the expo. Enjoy their experiences and hope that you can feel the same way this time next year because you’ll be sure to attend now. It’s okay, everyone learns from their mistakes!

Let me know if you use my tips on how to create your own expo this year. I promise it’ll work so well you’ll do everything you can to make sure you attend next year!!

SEE YOU ALL AT THE 2014 WORLD TEA EXPO! 😉
