I thought about doing a piece on the women in our lives that have helped form who we are today. For some in the U.K. Today is the day to celebrate those women – Mother’s Day. Of course, this is a tea blog so i’m going to keep it consistent. When I was younger, my mom was the first person who introduced me to tea – therefore, I’m not sure if this blog would exist without her. Being younger, I wasn’t allowed to drink too much, but I didn’t want to settle for too little either. Some might label it as “Children’s Tea” since I was forced to put a lot of milk in my tea at the time so it wasn’t too caffeinated for my little self.
One of my first cherished toy was a plastic tea set that was passed down in the family which we would always play pretend with together. My mom still to this day, has a real, antique china tea set but refuses to let me use it. “it’s just for decoration” I would hear whenever I requested to put it to use. So instead of bugging her about it again this year, I found some cute tea gifts to spoil her with from Twinings. There are these very gorgeous tea gift box where you’ll will find a 10g pouch of Mothers Day Blend white tea strewn with real rose petals and infused with a light hint of bergamot.
Next is my favourite item from the box, a Wedgwood fine bone china cup with gilded details and rose bud motifs originally used in the 18th century. So take your mother back to a special moment this Mother’s Day with her new cup filled with luscious tea.
