This Month in Tea // August Blog Round Up

In just a few hours the clock will hit midnight and I’ll be flipping the page on my tea calendar to a new month. Crazy! Thankfully, there are a few more weeks of summer though. Before we say goodbye to August, I’m sharing some of my favourite tea related posts from fellow bloggers this month that I think you should definitely check out. Since Afternoon Tea Week (UK) was in August and my summer has consisted of a lot of afternoon tea reservations, a couple of recipes for different tea sandwiches are included in this August blog round up, too. So, happy reading and eating! 😉

Tea

The Tea Squirrel | The Tea Squirrel interviews Italian tea sommelier Gabriella Lombardi – Anna had a tea chat with sommelier and author Gabriella about her journey in the world of tea, including her specialty tea shop. I love when they start discussing tea trends in Italia! <3

Gabriela Green | 17 Things Only True Tea Lovers Will Understand – This is a fun post that I’m sure tea lovers can relate to some, if not, all of these things! It had me nodding my head in agreement quite a few times.

Tea For Me Please | 3 Teas That Sound Like They Wouldn’t Taste Good (But They Totally Do!) – Would you care for a cup of scary fragrance, hairy crab, or duck shit tea? Learn about these real (yes, real!) teas and their names in this great post from Nicole.

Food

Liv For Cake | Earl Grey Cake with Vanilla Bean Buttercream – It was love at first sight with this cake. Before I even paid attention to the fact that it was a tea infused cake, I was all over it from the gorgeous photos. I absolutely love baking cakes with tea, just need to get better at making them this photo worthy!

Wishes and Dishes | English Cucumber and Dill Tea Sandwiches – When it comes to tea sandwiches, I always favour this classic. Making these this summer has been extra awesome and delicious with all the fresh dill in the garden!

Pinch Me, I’m Eating | Ham and Pimento Cheese Tea Sandwiches with Pickled Okra Garnish – If classic isn’t your style then perhaps this tea sandwich is for you! Definitely different than my usual but still crazy good. I think these go great with any cup of tea but I really enjoy them with a dragon well green tea.

DIY

Sprinkle Bakes | DIY Custom Wedding Tea Favors – Since my sister announced her engagement last month I have been keeping my eyes open for anything wedding related that comes my way. I love the idea of using tea in a wedding (my sister is a tea drinker as well) and favours seem to be popular. I think this DIY is cute and would be fun to blend teas and put it all together.

Enjoy this August blog round up! Do you have a blog you think I should check out? Let me know in the comments below!
