What Blogs to Read This Month in Tea // October Round Up

I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween last night. My neighbourhood is pretty quiet so with no door bells ringing my night was spent drinking tea and eating the sweets myself. I also had the chance to catch up on some blog reads from October and, of course, I’m sharing them here with you. But first, so much is happening in November. The first Hamilton Tea Festival is this Saturday. My book is officially out NEXT TUESDAY! And the Gilmore Girl revival is out on Netflix later this month (too bad Lorelai is addicted to coffee and not tea). But seriously, if you’re in the Hamilton, Ontario area this Saturday, please join me for my Tea-spiration Book Launch Party at the Tea Festival. I’d love to see you there! 🙂

Now on to some of my favourite blog reads from October…

Tea

Tea Journey | Jump Start Your Own Tea Journey with These Books on Tea – I have added a few more books to my tea reading list thanks to this great recommendation post from Katherine. She breaks the list down as books to help you discover tea ceremonies, the way and discover more about the leaf itself.

iHeartTeas | Let’s Get Frothy – I immediately clicked this blog post when I saw the headline because Rachel has been known as the frothing queen to me! Every time she shares a photo of her tea latte creations on Instagram I’m so jealous of her milk frothing skills. So, of course, I’m all over this tea latte recipe she shares.

Steep Stories | A Tiny Bit of Canadian Tea in a Tiny Gaiwan – I knew when I was sending Geoff the tiniest sample of tea ever he would still write an awesome story about it. I’m thrilled to see that he thinks the Canadian oolong (spring harvest) is a great start to tea in Canada. Check out his full tasting notes and meet Skippy!

Gabriela Green | Cooking With Tea Recipe Ideas – If you have ever been curious about how to use tea as an ingredient, Gabriela did some research on the topic since it was new to her. There are so many different ways you can enjoy tea! In this post, she shares 10 ideas on how to incorporate tea into your dishes.

Food

Now, Forager | Frothy Chai Hot Chocolate with Milk Chocolate Ganache – If the title of this post alone doesn’t make you drool, I don’t know what will. Using most of my favourite spices, Teresa creates a delicious two step recipe that will definitely be a must for this season! The photographs included with this recipe are absolutely stunning, too.

DIY

The Enchanting Rose | Make Your Own Tea Time Napkins – This is such a lovely craft idea and the fabric Stephanie uses is so pretty! I badly want to make my own tea time napkins following this how-to, I just need someone who is handy with a sewing machine.

Misc.

Thrive Fitness | The Refill Your Cup Fall Reading List – If you’re looking for some more reading materials away from tea, Pamela recommends 6 books that can help you practice self-care. She also includes some wonderful fall tea blends because what pairs better with books than tea?!

Elegance and Enchantment | Printable Inspirational Quote (Life is like a cup of tea..) – Not necessarily a read, but definitely something tea related you just may love. This tea quote printable from Michelle is free to download on her website until next Monday. Go snag your print now!

Enjoy the blog reads from this October round up! Do you have a blog you think I should check out? Let me know in the comments below!
