Tea-spiration, Now Available!

Today is the day! My book, Tea-spiration, is officially released and available everywhere books are sold! Oh, how time flies. It feels like it was just yesterday that I was enjoying many cups of tea while writing away and now my book has come to life. If I could sum up this entire writing journey in one word it would be fulfilled. I have always loved writing and the thought of having my own book on bookshelves is so surreal. I am so thrilled that I can finally write about something close to me and something that I hope would enhance others’ tea drinking experiences.

I knew I wanted to write this book a few years ago. As someone who is usually having personal tea sessions, I always felt like I wanted something extra by my side that could be there to help me appreciate this tea moment. I started drinking tea because I loved the taste (even if it was essentially liquid sugar – I was 7…) and because it was the perfect excuse to have a moment with my mom and sister. My tea journey began to change when I started to realize how the tea that’s in my cup got to me today. I started thinking of all the special moments to have with tea. I started thinking of all the hard work and energy that goes into making my tea and I started appreciating and loving the beverage even more again. That’s where Tea-spiration came to mind.

The manuscript for Tea-spiration!

I feel like I just constantly repeat myself when I say this, but I have to sincerely express my thanks and gratitude to each one of you who have been reading my blog since I started or even just since today! Thank you to everyone who connected with me over the past few years. You’ve all inspired this book in some way. If you already have your copy of Tea-spiration you may notice my thanks to you in the acknowledgement section. If you don’t have your copy yet though, here is an excerpt:

Thank you to all of my readers at www.theteacupoflife.com. I started The Cup of Life tea blog back in June 2011 with no idea of what it would become today. I never thought I would experience and learn so much about the tea world and I never thought I would meet so many incredible tea lovers. Through everything I have been able to experience there is still nothing more rewarding than being a part of such a wonderful tea community. I raise my teacup to you all.

Here are a few more things you should know about Tea-spiration

There is a Foreword in the book. When my editor came to me with the option of having a Foreword open up Tea-spiration I knew who I wanted to get to write it right away. I wanted to keep the writer of the foreword for Tea-spiration to someone in the industry, someone I’ve connected with a lot for the last while and someone who I knew, even just from email responses, had a way with words. So, I connected with Victor Vesely, one half of the masterminds behind Westholme Tea Farm, and I’m thrilled to have a nice introduction to the book written by him.

Starting with an empty cup –> Ending with an empty cup. The tea moments in the book are organized so that you will be following and experiencing them in order during your tea time.

The book is meant to be something you can easily take with you anywhere. As I mentioned in my announcement, it can be read from front to back, or random moments at a time. It’s also 4 by 6 in size, which makes it not too small and not too big to carry around or set at your tea table.

A day filled with inspiration. To fit with the inspirational aspect of the book, Tea-spiration concludes with 24 inspirational quotes. One for each hour of the day. This also pays tribute to those tea tags that you usually find wisdom on.

You won’t find Tea-spiration in the dictionary. I often get asked what the word means to me. Thankfully, I included a definition of the word in the introduction of the book and as a little sneak peak, here is how I define it…Tea-spiration
