Masala Chai Infused Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

2 and a half cups almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
8 tablespoons of raw cacao powder (if you can’t find this, then any hot chocolate mix will work well too)
3 teaspoons of masala chai (I used this one from Tea People – you can win this tea by entering here)

Directions

1. First, place all the milk in a pot and bring it to a boil over medium high heat.
2. When the milk has boiled, add your masala chai directly into the pot.
3. Turn heat down to medium low and steep the masala chai for about 10 minutes. Watch as the milk begins to slowly turn into a brown shade (like the above photo).
4. When the steeping is complete strain the masala chai.
5. Stir in the raw cacao powder (or hot chocolate mix) until it has dissolved.
6. Pour, serve & enjoy! 🙂
